Book Review: BEYOND THE ICE LIMIT

The collaboration team of Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child has gained worldwide renown and best-selling success over the past 15 years. Beyond the Ice Limit is their latest effort, cataloguing the efforts of a top-secret organization to track down a meteorite that turned out to be a seed for an alien lifeform. The novel progresses nicely to a full-blown race against time to keep the alien at bay, and unlike most novels of this type, many of the good guys die in the process. A number of these characters have featured in previous books, books I haven't read, but that really doesn't detract from the first-class thriller this is. I spent most of a Saturday reading it, and I was glad I did.
