Book Review: MYCROFT HOLMES

Mycroft Holmes is the beginning book in what promises to be a series of whodunits that feature the older brother of the famous Sherlock as the main character. What makes this idea somewhat noteworthy is one of the two co-authors of the book is former NBA great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The story itself is pretty interesting, and the mystery moved right along until the end, when my personal bane of suspense novels reared its ugly head--people get shot and beaten up, and then an hour later are doing physical feats worthy of the Olympics... Other than that quibble, this isn't a bad book. I'll be interested to see where Jabbar and co-author Anna Waterhouse take this character from here.
